I had the chance to get into DC the day after peak bloom of the DC cherry blossoms. I got to the tidal basin shortly before sunrise (0600) and hundreds of people were already camped out. Once the sun started to come out, the cherry blossoms looked amazing. I walked from the Martin Luther King monument to the Independence Avenue bridge until sunrise then made my way around the tidal basin past the Jefferson Memorial.
