I haven’t been to Europe since 2017. I had a trip scheduled to visit Paris and Barcelona in April 2020 but the pandemic shut that down real quick. My wife, Ashley, has been an adjunct professor for a law school that does an international arbitration competition. Every year, they either go to Hong Kong or Vienna, Austria for a big competition. In 2019, we went to Hong Kong. Over the past few years, the competition was held remotely. In 2023, they returned for an in-person competition. After 7 years of teaching, Ashley had decided to retire from the course and this year would be her last competition and trip. Since she would already be travelling to Europe for the competition, we decided to make a trip out of it. She spent just under a week in Vienna before I flew out to meet her. I flew into Vienna on Wednesday morning and we spent the day in Vienna before flying out to Barcelona, Spain on Thursday. We spent the next few days in Barcelona before flying back home on Sunday. This trip was from Tuesday, April 4 though Sunday, April 9.
I’ve put together several posts in this series. Click here for more info!
